Welcome to the Front Lines of American Electoral Politics

I'm Mark Zaccaria and I'm busy right now taking a Giant Step. I'm challenging a Four Term Incumbent for the Congressional Seat here in the Second District of Rhode Island.

Why am I doing that, you might ask? I'm doing it for You.

I believe that the current trend towards Government by Institution is the legacy of Democratic Party dominance of our national policy. The approach might have been helpful once, but I think the idea of using the bulk and financial power of Government to solve problems for groups of people is Way Past time for change. I believe all that primarily on Economic Grounds. The idea of Government as a great and all powerful parent who will both decide and provide for its Citizen/Children has some appeal because its so easy: Just Let Government Handle It... Whatever 'It' happens to be. The problem is that we simply Can't Afford that fantasy anymore. We're Out Of Money to pay for that Mirage.

You are being hurt by Government every time it reaches into your pockets and removes more of your resources to continue funding inefficient bureaucracies. I'm running for Congress for You, so You won't be hurt by that process in the future.

All the pain that each and every one of us feels today can be traced directly to economic roots. In government we have overlooked the need to create an environment where our economy will flourish. Government has been distracted from its mandate to see that our Citizens are allowed to make their own decisions about how to spend their own paychecks, whenever that is possible.

Can One newly minted Member of Congress do anything effective to correct that course? By myself I have no chance. Do you agree that we need to rein in our government as a method of making our economy, and that means our Lives better? Then join with me in taking this Giant Step.

Together we Can buck the prevailing attitudes and start to make the course correction that we need.
